Beautiful French Dutch Oven
The first time I saw this was in Sur la Tab and I was blown out by the beauty of this dutch oven. I had never heard of Staub before and have been a long time fan of LeCreset and own many of the large soup pots. I bought the 5 quart dutch oven first from Amazon and was surprised to find that it actually is quite different than LeCreset. The lid is much heavier and designed in a manner to seal the pot and therefore the flavors of whatever you are cooking. The interior of the pot is black and doesn't discolor as the LeCreset pots do. Overall, I think this is a better quality cooking vessel and I received the 7 quart pot for a Christmas gift. They are beautiful and sit on the back burners of my stove and I love cooking in them.
