Pomaireware Clay Steamer Pot with Insert and Lid



Not gonna be my only Pomaireware!
Just got a replacement for this clay steamer pot. The last one was damaged after being shipped to me overseas and then accidentaly sent to a wrong address (NO fault of Amazon or the supplier). Pot #2 came in rather quickly. Heck, I didn't even think they waited for the broken one to reach them, just sent another one. It's a lovely piece of art and weighs lighter than I thought. I think it weighs less than my heavy bottomed stock pot.

It said that seasoning was not necessary and a diffuser in not needed either in a ceramic stovetop. Cool, so I just sauteed and made a Filipino peanut butter based stew in it. Boy, if you have a ceramic flat top, you know it takes longer to heat anything. This pot does take a while to get to a hot temp but as soon as it's up there, the stew took a long time to cool down (to our favor, of course).
