doesn't get much more classic than this!
I've had this CorningWare casserole dish for years and it has been a real workhorse in the kitchen for me. I've used this pan for roasting large chickens/small turkeys, making baked ziti, macaroni and cheese, shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, and the list goes on and on...
Things I really like about this dish:
Oven safe, microwave safe, freezer safe - opens up a lot of recipe options as well as options for heating and reheating my recipes.
Easy clean up. It is dishwasher safe and never stains. This dish can handle a really good scrubbing if anything ever gets burnt on.
Having a lid makes it extra versatile - I can slow down or speed up heat or browning if needed.
Feels substantial to hold without being *too* heavy.
Looks great with any set of dishes; blends in nicely on the table with a large trivet.
Reasonably priced and easy to find; has many different sizes and shapes of companion pieces so you can add on...
